Money for your stay in Paracuru
The brasilian money is the REAL (R$). The exchange rate to the GBP moves around 4R$ for 1GBP or 2,7 R$ for 1 EUR.
Theoretically the easiest way to get Reals in Paracuru is by credit card using an Bank-o-mat. (All well known cards are working).
It is allmost not posible to change cash in any bank. Just in Fortaleza you can find exchange offices to get Reals in exchange for cash. Not so in Paracuru! In Paracuru you might find some private people or restaurants who will change money, but there is no official place arround.
Be prepared, that in Paracuru there is just one bank with one automat for these transactions, which offen does not work during some days!
Even so, also without cash for some days you will survive, because in allmost all shops you can pay with credit card.
Anyway, my advise is to change some money directly arriving at Fortaleza airport.
